To-dos allows employees to track tasks that need to be completed for a course assignment. You can create and assign to-dos, keep an overview of progress, and notify others once tasks are completed. This helps streamline collaboration and ensures all necessary steps are taken before, during, or after the assessment. The to-dos will be listed in a to-do list.
Create a new to-do
To-dos can be created from every page within an assignment. If an assignment does not have any to-dos, the chip next to the assignment title will be grey with New to-do +. To-dos can also be created directly from the Assignment overview [Campus], if your school uses this feature.
To create a new to-do in your assignment, follow the steps below.
- Navigate to your course assignment.
- Click on the grey chip New to-do + next to the assignment title.
- The to-do list will expand, click on New to-do.
- Name the to-do.
- Click on Create.
To create a new to-do from the assignment overview, follow the steps below.
- Navigate to the assignment overview by clicking on the playlist_add_check_circle icon at the top right of your screen.
- Click on the grey chip New to-do + next to the assignment title.
- The to-do list will expand, click on New to-do.
- Name the to-do.
- Click on Create.
Optionally, you can add notes, assign users, or notify users of the completion by clicking on the name of the to-do. To-dos can be assigned by and to employees with access to the assignment. Assigned users will receive an in-app notification.
To add notes or assign users to your to-do, follow the steps below.
- Click on the name of the to-do.
- Type the name(s) of the user(s) to assign the to-do to under Assigned to. The name(s) will appear as a chip.
- Type the name(s) of the user(s) that need to be notified when the to-do is completed under When done, notify. The name(s) will appear as a chip.
- Enter notes of the to-dos under Notes. It is possible to use the text editor.
- Click on Update.
Access the to-do list
The to-do list can be accessed from every page in the assignment. If there are any to-dos for the assignment, a chip will appear next to the assignment title with the amount of to-dos that are pending and have been completed. To-dos can also be accessed directly from the Assignment overview [Campus], if your school uses this feature.
To access to-dos from your assignment, follow the steps below.
- Navigate to your assignment.
- Click on the chip with a purple circle next to the assignment title.

Manage to-dos
You can edit or remove to-dos at any time.
Edit to-dos
To edit a to-do, follow the steps below.
- Navigate to the to-do list.
- Click on the name of the to-do.
- Update the to-do by adjusting the name, the users assigned or notified when the to-do is completed, and/or the notes.
- Click Update.
To-dos can be reordered by dragging and dropping them into the desired position by using the drag_indicator icon on the left of the checkbox. The order is saved automatically.
Delete to-dos
To delete a to-do, follow the steps below.
- Navigate to the to-do list.
- Hover over the name of the to-do.
- Click on the delete icon.
- Click on Confirm.

Complete a to-do
When a to-do has been done, it can be marked as completed. To mark a to-do as complete, follow the steps below.
- Navigate to the to-do list.
- Click on the checkbox on the left of the name of the to-do. To revert this, click on the checkbox again.
Users who were set to be notified will receive an in-app notification now that it has been completed. The to-dos chip next to the assignment title will automatically update to reflect the number of completed to-dos. If all to-dos have been completed, this will be indicated with a check mark.
lightbulb_outline To-do lists carry over in assignment templates, which ensures that default tasks are always included in similar assignments. To-dos and their notes will be included in the template. Assignees and notified users will not carry over with the to-dos. The same applies when copying an assignment.
