This feature allows students to track their performance in certain domains throughout their curriculum. Teachers can also gain access to the overview of a student.
The potential benefits of gaining insight in a student's learning progress are:
- Makes it possible to identify performance trends through time
- Allows students to identify domains they excel in or are falling behind in
- Provides a nuanced and detailed overview of student performance per domain, which can differentiate their strengths and weaknesses
Creating study domains
To track domains across multiple courses and question banks, they must be defined at the study level by a (department) administrator. You can create domains within a study on the settings page of the study. To create study domains, follow the steps below.
- Click on your School name.
- Click settings Settings in the menu at the top.
- Click Departments in the menu on the left
- Select your department or create a new department.
- Select your study or create a new study.
- Click Objectives in the tab at the top.
- Add your domains and objectives by clicking New domain and New objective respectively.
lightbulb_outline Domains can only be tracked within a single study. If you wish to track domains across multiple studies, you can either create a separate study for tracking the domains or duplicate the domains in the other study. The latter method means that their measurements will not be visible in the same overview and that the domains will be regarded as separate.
