Bug fixes
-
Fixed an issue where users with a custom role could assume other accounts with the same base role
Previously, it was possible for users with a custom administrator role to assume other user accounts that had the same base role. This way, the users could gain access to more privileges than their initial role allowed. Now, we have removed the ability for users with a custom role to assume accounts that have the same base role as them.
-
Fixed an issue where users were unable to link existing assignments to question bank assignments accessible via external users
Previously, it was not possible to link assignments to question bank assignments from another school, even if the user had access to that question bank through a guest account. Question bank assignments that are accessible to the user via a guest account will now correctly display if the user has a publisher role within that question bank.

Fixed an issue where logging in through LTI would sometimes cause an 'Access denied' error
Previously, if an LMS course contained a large number of participants, logging in through LTI would sometimes fail and display an “Access Denied” error. This issue was especially common in the Blackboard Ultra environment and was caused by the large amount of information being exchanged with the Name & Role Provisioning Service. We have now improved how role data is retrieved from the LMS during the initial setup, removing the need for additional checks with the Name & Role Provisioning Service. This service is now only used for the automatic syncing of learners between Ans and the LMS (beta feature).
