Bug fixes
-
Fixed an issue where soft-deleted gaps were included when printing questions with grading schemes
Previously, a gap removed from the text of a fill-in-the-gap question was still printed under Settings > General > Print > "Questions with grading scheme", even though it was no longer part of the question. This happened as long as the gap could still be restored from the dropdown next to "New gap".The printed grading scheme now only lists the gaps that are in the question text. Removed gaps still appear in the dropdown next to "New gap" and can still be restored.
-
Fixed an issue where screen layout and the selected attachment were not kept when navigating between questions
Previously, when a participant used the "Screen layout" button to show only the digital test, the attachments reappeared as soon as they went to another question. The first attachment was also selected again, even if the participant had opened a different one.The chosen screen layout is now kept while navigating through the digital test. If the participant hides the attachments, the next question opens with only the "Digital test" tab visible. Clicking the "Screen layout" button again shows the attachments. The attachment the participant last opened stays selected when they move to another question.
-
Fixed an issue where the exercise selection window did not close after adding exercises from a question bank assignment
When adding exercises to a question bank assignment, the 'Add exercises from this question bank' dialog stayed open after clicking 'Add', and the added exercises remained in the 'Exercises' field. The dialog now closes once the exercises are added.
-
Fixed an issue where numerical value exercises without a correct value gave full points for an answer of 0
Numerical value exercises without a correct value were graded as if the correct value were 0. This happened when no numerical value was filled in, or when the variable it refers to had no value. Answers to these exercises now receive 0 points.Answers that were already graded keep their score until they are graded again.
School impacted by this, have been notified.
-
Fixed an issue where grading an appraisal form with a slide in the new grading experience would navigate you to the first question
Previously, when grading an appraisal form while using the new grading experience, the page would always scroll to the top after changing the score with a slider. Now, the page doesn't scroll after changing the score.
-
Fixed an issue where an exercise preview showed a server error when it loaded twice at once
An exercise preview in a question bank showed a server error when it was loaded twice at the same time. Both now show the preview.
-
Fixed an issue where the timeslot participant search showed a server error for classes with an unnamed student
Searching participants for a timeslot showed a server error when a class contained a student without a name. These classes are now listed.
-
Fixed an issue where anonymised results showed a "View answers" button that led to a server error
Previously, anonymised results showed a "View answers" button while the answers were removed as part of the anonymisation. Opening it showed a server error. Now, the button is no longer shown for anonymised results.
-
Fixed an issue where the results show multiple attempts and those attempts lead to other students
When students are removed, their results are anonymized. On an anonymized result, the attempt filter listed the results of every removed student on the same assignment as attempts. Selecting one of those attempts opened another student's result. The attempt filter now only lists attempts from the same student or group, matched by the student numbers kept on the anonymized result. An anonymized result without student numbers only shows its own attempt.
-
Fixed an issue where administrators were not able to assume users without an email address
Previously, the "Assume identity" option on a user's settings page was missing for users without an email address. The "Assume" button now also appears for these users.
-
Fixed an issue where images were missing from copied questions
Previously, when a question was copied from a question bank into an assignment, an image within the question could fail to copy correctly. For example adding a question to a digital test. As a result, the image appeared broken in the assignment. This issue occurred when the image's file name contained an encoded character, such as%20representing a space. This issue has now been resolved, and images are copied correctly. Images that failed to copy since 16 September have been restored from their original versions in the question bank. The images are now visible again in the affected assignments without requiring any changes.
-
Fixed an issue where creating a question bank through the API with a user without an id returned a server error
Previously, creating a question bank through the API with a publisher or author that has nouser_idreturned a server error. It now returns a validation error.
-
Fixed an issue where the page count of forms was not available through the beta API
Previously, it was not possible to retrieve the number of pages of a form through the beta API. This made it difficult for integrations to determine whether a written assignment contained forms with different page counts, for example when randomization was used. This has been fixed. Each form returned by
GET /api/beta/form_bundles/{id}now includesnumber_of_pages, indicating the number of pages in the form. The value isnullif the page count is not yet known.Additionally, the
namefield has been renamed tobarcode. Integrations using the name field must now usebarcodeinstead.
-
Peer review grades are cleared in the LMS when peer results are graded
When synchronising marks with the LMS for a peer review digital test, grading one of a participant's peer reviews removed that participant's mark from the LMS. Only participants whose own result was graded after all their peer reviews kept a mark. The LMS now receives the participant's latest average mark.
-
Fixed an issue where assignments containing images could not be copied
Previously, copying an assignment failed when one of its questions contained an image or file added through the rich text editor and the account that originally uploaded it had since been removed. The copy stopped with an error and no new assignment was created. Now, images are now copied with the school of the question they belong to, and the copy is attributed to the user making it. Assignments and question bank questions copy again, including the images and files inside them.
