Bug fixes
-
Fixed an issue where buttons moved out of view when adding many students to print forms
Previously, when adding a large number of individual learners in the "New print forms" dialog, the list of learners could push the buttons out of view and cause the dialog to overflow sideways. The dialog content now scrolls vertically when the list becomes too long and no longer overflows sideways. This keeps the buttons accessible when adding many learners.
-
Fixed an issue where the variables listed as a scoring method were not always sorted alphabetically
Previously, the variables available as scoring methods were not always listed in alphabetical order. Now, the list of variables that can be used as a scoring method is sorted alphabetically, regardless of capitalization. This now matches the sorting of the list of variables that can be added to a question.
-
Fixed an issue when adding a match exercise from the question bank to a course assignment
Previously, trying to add a match exercise from a question bank to a course assignment where two of its columns or rows had the same position showed an error. The exercise was not added to the course assignment. Now, the match exercises can be added correctly. When adding this match exercise, all its rows, columns, and points will remain unchanged.
-
Fixed an issue where comments on question bank exercises could not be deleted after their author was removed
Previously, only the author of a comment on an exercise in a question bank could delete their own comments. When the author was removed from the question bank, the comment could no longer be deleted by anyone. Now, comment authors can edit and delete their own comments. Question bank publishers, department administrators and school administrators can delete any comment on exercises in the question bank, including comments made by former members.
Open the three vertical dots next to a comment and select the available action.
-
Fixed an issue where downloading an attachment with Proctorio enabled showed an incorrect "Leave site?" pop-up
Previously, clicking "Download file" in the preview of an attachment in a digital test with Proctorio enabled showed a "Leave site?" pop-up. Clicking the options "Cancel" or "Leave" within this pop-up had no effect; the participant would stay on the same page. The file now downloads directly, without the pop-up. Leaving the digital test still shows the "Leave site" pop-up.
-
Fixed an issue where anonymized results prevented users from starting a new appraisal
Previously, when an appraisal form contained an anonymized result, the learner list for starting a new review was empty and displayed the message, “There are no learners available to appraise at this time.”Now, when starting a new review, the learner list now shows all learners who have not yet received a result.
-
Fixed an issue where the assignment log would give an error page
Previously, when a student was added to a timeslot that was later deleted, opening the assignment log resulted in an error page. The assignment log now handles these entries correctly. When viewing an entry for a student who was added to a timeslot that has since been deleted, the log opens as expected and displays the student’s name for that entry.
-
Fixed an issue where synchronising question bank assignment instructions marked exercises as updated
Previously, updating the instructions of a question bank assignment and synchronizing it to a course assignment recorded a change for every exercise in the assignment. The assignment log therefore listed each exercise as updated, even though no changes had been made to the exercises themselves.Synchronization now records only the changes that were actually made. The log shows the updated instructions, while exercises that were not edited are no longer included.
-
Removed an outdated API deprecation warning
Previously, the "Changes" section of the API V2 documentation said thatrandomize_exercise_orderwould no longer be accepted after September 1st. That date has passed, but the cover endpoints still accepted the parameter. The cover endpoints for assignments and question bank assignments no longer accept
randomize_exercise_order, and cover responses no longer include it. Useshuffle_sectionsinstead:"all"replacestrueand"none"replacesfalse. The "Changes" section is removed from the API documentation.A request that still sends
randomize_exercise_orderdoes not fail. The API ignores the parameter, and the cover's section shuffle setting stays as it was.
-
Fixed an issue where the API returned preview results
Previously, the results list (GET /api/v2/assignments/{id}/results) and results search (GET /api/v2/search/results) endpoints, along with their beta versions, also returned results from previews. Now, these endpoints return only participants' results, matching the results page.
-
Fixed an issue where the home page listed courses from accounts you could no longer use
Previously, when a user had an account in more than one school, the course list on the home page gathered the courses from all those accounts. This meant that courses could still appear even when the account granting access was no longer usable. For example because it had been deactivated, removed, or marked as an alumni account. Now, the home page only shows the courses from accounts you can still sign in to. Deactivated, removed, and alumni accounts no longer add courses to the list. The same applies to pinned courses on the home page.
The courses shown on the homepage now match the courses available when adding an exercise from a question bank to a course. The course destination list already only included courses from accounts that you can actively use.
-
Fixed an issue where opening a user's profile could fail to load
Previously, when users with many results opened their profile, this could take a long time and sometimes ended in an error page. Now the sidebar result count is calculated much faster. As a result, the profile and the user's results page load reliably again.
-
Kept reviewer names anonymous in student notifications
Previously, notifications about replies to discussions could reveal a reviewer's full name to students, even though the reviewer appeared anonymously as "Reviewer" in the discussion itself. These notifications now show "Reviewer" with the anonymous person icon, keeping the reviewer's identity hidden and matching the discussion.
-
Fixed an issue where shorter names were not shown first when search results matched equally well
Previously, search results that matched equally well were listed oldest first. When a search showed only a few results, a short name such as "3A" could be pushed out by longer names such as "3A-101" and "3A-102". Typing more did not help.Search results now list shorter names first when several names match. This applies to the class search when adding students to a course or adding a user to classes. It also applies to the "Jump to" search for assignments, courses, question banks, schools and classes, and to the domain search in a question bank.
