When creating a digital test, you can customise the layout of your test by enabling different layout options and by adding test instructions.
format_shapes Edit Layout
In the Edit layout options, you can choose from various layout options. This includes the layout of exercises, the option to shuffle the order of answer options and question groups, select which enumeration you would like to use and the option to use a theme for your digital test.
Edit the layout of your digital test
To edit the layout of your digital test, follow the steps below.
- Click the domain School name in the menu on the left.
- Click label_important Courses in the menu at the top.
- Select your course or use the search bar.
- Select your assignment or use the search bar.
- Click the dropdown menu Customise layout in the top right of the Preview section.
- Click format_shapes Edit layout.
- Select the options that you would like for your layout.
- Click Update.
Options for the layout of your digital test

Display the exercise name
The titles of the exercises will be displayed.

Display the number of points for each question
The number of maximum points for each question is displayed.

Shuffle the answer alternatives for each question
The answer options of multiple choice questions and hotspot match questions will be shuffled.

Display names of flow groups
The names of the question groups will be displayed.

Enumeration
Choose for which enumeration you want the questions to be displayed in. For example:
'1a 1b 2a 2b 2c 3', '1 2 3 4 5' or no enumeration.

Theme
Themes can be used to give a digital test its own style, such as your school's identity.
If a theme has been created for your school, you can use it in your digital test.
book Test instructions
When creating your digital test you can add instructions that will be included during the digital test. This includes:
- Instruction descriptions will be available before, during and after the test.
- Before: These instructions will be shown at the taking page for participants before they start their digital test. Participants can see these instructions as soon as the digital test has a timeslot scheduled.
- During: These instructions will be displayed at the top of the screen for the student during the entire taking sessions of a digital test.
- After: These instructions will be shown once the participant submits their digital test.
- An integrity statement requires participants to agree to the declaration of integrity before starting the test.
- Allowing participants to leave a comment after they have submitted their test. In addition to leaving a comment, participants can also upload a file or an image.
Add test instructions to your digital test
To add test instructions to your digital test, follow the steps below.
- Click the domain School name in the menu on the left.
- Click label_important Courses in the menu at the top.
- Select your course or use the search bar.
- Select your assignment or use the search bar.
- Click the dropdown menu Customise layout in the top right of the Preview section.
- Click book Test instructions.
- Fill in the integrity statement if needed.
- Fill in the descriptions of the instructions that are necessary for your test.
- Check the box Allow comments after the test to allow participants to leave a comment after they have submitted their test.
- Click Update.
View the comments left by participants
To view the comments left by participants, follow the steps below.
- Click the domain School name in the menu on the left.
- Click label_important Courses in the menu at the top.
- Select your course or use the search bar.
- Select your assignment or use the search bar.
- Click on analytics Insights in the menu at the top.
- Click the Comments in the menu on the left.
If you want to see which participant left the feedback, click on the comment. You will be directed to the result overview of that participant.
