Overview of Campus & Add-on features

Ans offers a range of features to enhance your experience, including Campus and Add-on features. This article provides an overview of both Campus and Add-on features, helping you understand how they work.

Campus features are functionalities that are exclusively available in the Campus plan. If your school is on the Campus plan, these functionalities can be enabled upon request by contacting our Support team or your Customer Success Manager. If your school is interested in a Campus feature, but is not on the Campus plan, contact your Customer Success Manager.

Add-on features are not included in any plan. These features are available for purchase separately and provide additional functionality tailored to your school needs. If your school is interested in an Add-on feature, contact your Customer Success Manager.

• Assignment Overview [Campus]
  A comprehensive view of all assignments across your organisation. It allows administrators to quickly monitor the status of different assignments, ensuring everything is on track. Manage assignments within your organisation in one centralised location.
  
  
• Automatically grade code [Add-on]
  Code editor questions written in Python can be automatically tested and graded. 
  
  
• Certainty levels [Campus]
  Allow students to indicate their confidence level when giving an answer. Certainty-based marking is often used in the medical field.
  
  
• Custom domain [Campus]
  Personalise Ans with a custom domain. Your students and staff can access the platform through a unique URL (ans.yourschoolname.com). Users are automatically redirected to your Single Sign-On (SSO) provider when they navigate to the custom URL. This eliminates the need for users to go through the Ans sign-in page, streamlining the login process.
  
  
• Custom domain + custom emails [Campus]
  On top of the custom domain, emails sent by Ans can also be customised (@ans.yourschoolname.com). This option is only possible if your school has a custom domain configured.
  
  
• Custom roles [Campus]
  Adjust user permissions to fit your institution’s roles. This ensures that each user can only view or edit relevant parts of the platform depending on their role. This improves security and reduces unwanted access.
  
  
• Increase API rate limit [Add-on]
  This allows users to extend the number of API requests they can make within a minute.
  
  
• Increase upload limit [Add-on]
  Increase the default maximum upload limit per file in hand-in assignments and file upload questions.
  
  
• Longitudinal learning dashboard [Campus]
  Provide students with insight into their progress throughout their courses and study programme. Track and discuss a students performance in specific domains over multiple courses. By visualising long-term performance, you can pinpoint strengths and areas for improvement and create personalised learning experiences.
  
  
• Results retention period [Add-on]
  Define the minimum required period of how long assignment results are kept before anonymisation and deletion.
  
  
• Run live code [Add-on]
  Allow participants to compile and run live code within the code editor question in Ans.
  
  
• Second review [Campus]
  Improve consistency in reviewing by having multiple reviewers assess the same work, leading to more reliable results. By enabling a second review, you can identify any potential errors or oversights.
  
  
• To-dos [Campus]
  Track tasks that need to be completed for a course assignment. You can create and assign to-dos, keep an overview of progress, and notify others once tasks are completed. This helps streamline collaboration and ensures all necessary steps are taken before, during, or after the assessment.
