This feature provides instructors with insights into how well participants have scored on specific domains within an assignment, similar to how this is currently available for objectives. If this feature is enabled, this overview can be found at the result settings of an individual participant.
Score
The graph shows the percentage scored on all the questions linked to an objective within a domain. Take this example: an assignment has 10 questions, 2 of which are linked to an objective in the domain of the 'Digestive System'. Question A is worth 2 points, question B is worth one point. This means that a participant can score 3 points in this particular domain within the assignment. If they answer question B correctly and question A incorrectly, they would see a domain score of 33%.
Comparison
The orange bar graphs in the chart allow for a comparison with all other participants in the assignment. Similar to a box plot, the graph displays the median score of all the participants in the assignment, as well as the 25th and 75th percentile scores. To protect participants' privacy and improve the representativeness of the values, the graph shows the 5th and 95th percentile scores instead of the minimum and maximum scores on the domain.
Result domains can also be displayed to a participant during the publication timeslot. The option to enable this for participants can be found in the publication settings. Instructors can choose to show only the individual score of the participant in the publication or also include the comparison with their peers.
