At the results overview of your assignment, all results are initially marked as undetermined after grading. From this overview, you can explicitly approve, disapprove and remove results. If results have been removed by accident, you also have the option to restore a result. All of these options are explained below. Keep in mind, if the beta feature Reviews is enabled, these options will be different.
Approve results
Approving the results of students is often used as an extra check mark. It is not necessary to approve results in order to for students to view the publication. Students can also view their result if the status is set to the undetermined default.
The approve button can also be used when you have disapproved the result of a student and want to allow for the student to see their result or publication. To approve the result of one or more students, follow the steps below.
- Results overview in the menu at the top.
- Check the box of the student or students that you want to explicitly approve the results of.
- Click the more_vert Option in the header and choose Mark as approved.
Disapprove results
Disapproving the result of a student means that they are not able to view their results after the results have been published. To disapprove the result of one or more students, follow the steps below.
- Navigate to Results overview in the menu at the top.
- Check the box of the student or students that you want to disapprove the results of.
- Click the more_vert Option in the header and choose Mark as disapproved.
Remove results
In the results overview, you have the option to remove the result of a student. If a student has more than one attempt, you can also remove one of their attempts. Removing a result of a student is mostly used in written assignments, in cases where the same assignment has been scanned more than once. Removed results will be permanently deleted after 180 days.
Remove the result of a student
To remove the result of a student, follow the steps below.
- Navigate to the Results overview in the menu at the top.
- Select the student or students that you want to remove the result of.
- Click delete Remove in the header.
- Click Confirm.
Remove an attempt of a student
To remove an attempt of a student, follow the steps below.
- Navigate to the Results overview in the menu at the top.
- Click the result number of the student that you want to remove an attempt of.
- Click the dropdown menu Attempt 1 to select the attempt you want to remove.
- Click Remove in the Danger zone section.
Restore results
If you need to restore results that were previously removed, follow the steps below.
- Navigate to the assignment that contains the results you want to restore.
- Click settings Settings in the menu at the top.
- Click Removed results in the menu on the left.
- Click Restore next to the student you want to restore the result of.
