ReadSpeaker partners with Ans to deliver support to students who need extra help reading text during digital tests. By enabling the integration with ReadSpeaker, text in a digital test is converted to speech, which is played via the computer. Students can easily select certain parts of text, click the play button and the text is read out loud.
ReadSpeaker supports the following languages: Dutch, English, German, French and Spanish.
The use of DocReader is also supported in Ans, which gives participants the option to read attachments which are uploaded to a digital test using DocReader in addition to the regular ReadSpeaker functionalities. Your school will need to have an active ReadSpeaker DocReader license. An administrator from your school must whitelist the Ans object store URL in their ReadSpeaker dashboard, which is: https://docreader.readspeaker.com/.
If you are using ReadSpeaker in combination with a lockdown browser, such as Schoolyear or Safe Exam Browser, no additional URLs need to be whitelisted in your lockdown browser, except if you are using the Docreader product in your exam. The current list in this article is still accurate and up to date.
