Import metadata (beta)

It is possible to import tags and objectives to questions and exercises in a question bank via a CSV file.

Follow the steps below to import metadata.

  1. Click domain School name in the menu on the left.
  2. Click folderQuestion banks in the menu at the top.
  3. Select your question bank or use the search bar.
  4. Click settingsSettings in the menu at the top.
  5. Click Upload next to Objectives CSV to import objectives or click Upload next to Tags CSV to import tags.
  6. Drag the import file to the window or click Browse for a file and select the import file.
  7. Click Import.

Make sure your CSV file adheres to the following format guidelines:
Tags
id, tag key
123, tag value

Objectives
id, domain
123, objective name

For both CSV import options, you can have multiple columns and rows. For example:

Tags
id, tag key, tag key 2
123, tag value, tag value
456, tag value2, tag value

When importing domains and objectives, the import will add the objective to every question or the tag to the exercise that you have provided the id of.
