The beta feature 'digital test overview panel' for participants has been deprecated and will be permanently removed on 16 August 2026.
The digital test overview was a beta feature available to a limited number of schools. It provided a side panel during digital tests showing:
- The list of questions, including question types and points.
- The percentage of questions answered.
- The number of points obtainable based on completed questions.
The feature did not see enough adoption to justify becoming a permanent part of the digital test experience. As a result, we have decided to remove it.
What does this mean?
Until 16 August 2026:
- Schools that currently have access to the beta feature can continue using it.
- The feature is now deprecated and will be phased out.
From 16 August 2026 onwards:
- The digital test overview panel will no longer be available during digital tests.
- Navigation between questions will remain unchanged.
Why are we making this change?
While the digital test overview explored ways to give participants better insight into their progress during a test, it did not see enough usage to justify the ongoing complexity, maintenance, and support costs of keeping the feature.
The underlying goal to help participants better understand their progress during a test remains important. We will use the insights gained from the beta to explore simpler and more integrated ways to support this in the future.
