1 September 2026 – Removal of the “Exercise can be viewed once” option

To simplify assignment setup, the “Exercise can be viewed once” option will be removed on 1 September 2026. After this date, individual exercises can no longer be set to be viewed only once. The “View all sections once” and “View all exercises once” options will remain available in the digital test settings. 

What’s changing?

• From 21 June 2026, the "Exercise can be viewed once" option will be marked as Deprecated.
• On 1 September 2026, this option will be removed.

What does this mean?

• The "Exercise can be viewed once" option can be used until 1 September 2026.
• Existing exercises with this option enabled will remain unchanged until 1 September 2026. On that date, the option will be removed from all exercises. Participants will be able to navigate back to those exercises freely.

Why are we making this change?

We are simplifying assignment setup and reducing overlapping settings. This change also addresses the issue of there being no easy way to see which exercises have this option enabled, making it difficult to review whether an assignment is set up correctly.
