To use the Schoolyear integration for your digital test, the integration needs to be configured first. After the integration has been configured, you can start using the integration for the taking of your test and for the publication. Please note that students can only have one active Schoolyear session open for an assignment at a time.

Configuration settings
URL to allow
Add any URLs you want students to be able to visit within Schoolyear. By switching on the blue toggle, all pages on the website will be allowed.
Enable red screen block
Configure whether Schoolyear is allowed to collect data to the detection of fraud and abuse of the secure testing environment. Types of information collected include: navigation between pages and websites within Schoolyear’s environment, the use of short-key combinations and other data required to detect and report suspicious actions.
Enable Spell Check
If spell check is allowed, students will be able to see red lines underneath spelling errors for both open questions and fill-in questions. This option uses the built-in spellchecker of the browser. This is not a spellchecker provided by Ans. We recommend to only enable Spell Check if spelling is not a criterion for the test.
Use Schoolyear for your publication
Use Schoolyear for your publication
After your digital test has been taken, you can create a publication in order for students to view their results. You can read more about publishing your results here.
If Schoolyear is enabled for your digital test, this automatically secures your publication with Schoolyear as well. No further settings need to be configured in the publication settings. However, it is possible to enable Schoolyear after an assignment has already been taken.
Please note: publications without an end time are not supported in the Schoolyear integration. The end time is a required field in Schoolyear. During synchronisation with Schoolyear, the system checks which end time lies furthest in the future: that of the taking timeslot or that of the publication timeslot. If a publication timeslot does not have an end time, the end time of the taking timeslot is automatically used. Once this date has passed, the publication can no longer be viewed in Schoolyear. This can be resolved by setting the availability of the availability within a specific time window.
Before a student tries to gain access to the publication, the student receives a notification that the test is secured with Schoolyear.
