Set-up student access to a course or assignment via a Brightspace LTI-link

To create a LTI-link for an assignment, follow the steps below.

1. Set up the Brightspace integration on school level in Ans.
2. Sign in to Brightspace.
3. Click on the settings Settings in the top right corner.
4. Under Organization Related, click on External Learning Tools. 
5. Search for deployment you've created during the integration setup and open it.
6. Scroll all the way down and click on View Links.
7. Click on New Link.
8. Enter information as shown in the following screenshot
   
   
9. Under Type, select Deep Linking Quicklink.
10. The Width & Height can be left empty or set to a preferred size.
11. Click Save and Close.

After these steps, you are ready to add the LTI 1.3 link to your courses. 

To add the newly created LTI link to your course, follow the steps below.

1. Go back to your Brightspace homepage.
2. Navigate to your Brightspace course.
3. Select your course module (or add a new module), and click on Existing Activities.
   
   
4. Select your newly created link from the list of options.
   
   
5. Select the course in Ans that you want to link.
6. Select the assignment in Ans that you want to link.
   
   
7. The link has been created.
   
   

error_outline It's important to click on the LTI link and make sure the link redirects you to the linked assignment in Ans. This step is crucial and ensures the correct working of LTI link.  

If you need to check and/or unlink the LTI-link, you can do so by following the steps below. 

1. Click your domain School name in the menu on the left.
2. Click label_important Courses in the menu at the top.
3. Select your course or use the search bar.
4. Select your assignment or use the search bar. 
5. Click on the settings Settings tab.
6. Scroll down to your integrations (not the tab named Integrations) in the left menu.
7. Click on your Brightspace LTI-link. You are now able to remove the LTI-link by unlinking it.
