Manage classic blueprints

You will see the number of exercises that are selected and the number of exercises available in the question bank. When you click Import, Ans lets you import a CSV file. You can download a template and add domains, objectives and the number of questions that need to be selected for that objective. All objectives and domains that do not exist will be created and added to the question bank as well.

Now, you can fill your blueprint with questions. Per the learning objective, you can adjust the number of questions that need to be selected. Once adjusted, the new value is saved automatically. You can now start using your blueprint to generate assignments. In case new questions are added to the question bank (with connected learning objectives) they can be immediately selected by using the blueprint. Also, if questions are changed, the blueprint will select the last version of a question.

Please note that on the top left corner the number exercises in the whole question bank are shown. In the overview of all domains and objectives, you select the number of questions. It might be possible that the total amount of questions that can be selected is higher or lower than the number of exercises. This can be caused by exercises having questions with no learning objective connected. It can also be caused by the fact that exercises have multiple subquestions.

If any of the chosen exercises include questions with different learning objectives, those questions may also be selected. A blueprint is most effective when all exercises focus on the same learning objectives.

When clicking Settings, you see the following overview:

From here, you can rename the blueprint, print it or save it as a PDF, export the file to either a CSV or Excel or permanently remove it. 

To convert a classic blueprint into a new blueprint, open the classic blueprint and click on "Convert to blueprint". The blueprint will be created instantly and opened automatically, allowing you to continue working without interruption.

To convert a classic blueprint into a new blueprint, follow the steps below.

1. Navigate to your question bank.
2. Click fact_check Objectives in the menu at the top.
3. Click Classic Blueprints in the tab at the top.
4. Click on your blueprint.
5. Click Convert to new blueprint.
   

From here, you can rename the blueprint, print it or save it as a PDF, export the file to either a CSV or Excel or permanently remove it.
