error_outline The steps described in this article refer to the new blueprint functionality. There is currently no set timeline for when the new blueprint functionality will become the default. Feedback from users will help determine when the transition will occur.
Blueprints are made up of flow sections with their own filters and defined total points values. The point value represents the sum of all exercises within that section. Because blueprints are linked to your question bank, the number of matching exercises in each section will update automatically when exercises are added or removed. It is possible to exclude exercises from selected question bank assignments in a blueprint. This prevents that exercises are reused in the re-take of an assignment.
Previously, assignment generation relied on the use of domains and objectives. The new blueprint system removes the reliance on objectives, gives you more flexibility in how exercises are selected, and makes it easier to get started with assignment generation.

This assignment will have a fixed set of exercises which will be identical for all participants. -
Randomised
This assignment will have a mixed set of exercises which will be different for each participant. The exercises are placed into sections when an assignment is generated. Every participant receives a unique assignment based on the blueprint parameters. If alternative exercises are available, those previously selected will be excluded from their current assignment.

Exercise selection*
error_outline During generation of a flow section with a fixed exercise selection, enemy exercises are automatically excluded, unless excluding them would prevent the group from meeting its required point total. This is not applicable to flow sections generated by a randomised selection of exercises. In that case, the enemy rules do not apply.
If a flow section does not have enough matching exercises based on the selected filters or if there is a conflict between sections, a visual indicator will be displayed and the button to generate an assignment will be disabled. A red border and an informative error message will highlight the issue.
In case a flow section fails, the flow sections after it are not calculated, until the issue in the flow section is resolved. The border around the flow section remain grey, to indicate that it is undetermined.
