Exercise
If you click on the Exercise tab, three values are shown and combined into a conclusion per exercise and also per school year. The P-value indicates how difficult the exercise was, a high P-value indicates an easy exercise and a low P-value a difficult exercise. The Rit-value indicates the relation between the score of students on this exercise and on the test in total. A low Rit-value indicates that an exercise does not distinguish between students with a high overall score and a low overall score. The Rir-value indicates a relation between the score of students on this exercise and on the rest of the test (so the total score minus the score on this exercise). You can also see per school year what the total score for these three values was for this exercise, this takes all the times the exercise was used in an assignment in this school year into account.
Assignments
If you click on the Assignments tab, you will see a link to the assignment the exercise was part of, the collection date which indicates the date the assignment was started by the first student and the result which shows how many students took the assignment. The P-value indicates how difficult the exercise was within the assignment, a high P-value indicates an easy exercise and a low P-value a difficult exercise. The Rit-value indicates the relation between the score of students on this question and on the test in total. A low Rit-value indicates that an exercise does not distinguish between students with a high overall score and a low overall score. The Rir-value is similar to the Rit-value but more precise because the score of the item itself is not taken into account.
It is not possible to manually reset any of the values, for example if you change the question significantly. If you would like to start from scratch with regards to the insights, you must copy the question. This will create a separate question, which cannot be merged with the statistics of other question.
