Use the equation keyboard for creating equations

Ans provides an equation keyboard to create mathematical equations. The keyboard is available in any part of the platform where the rich content editor is available. The rich content editor is available when you create a question in the text of the question. You can also use it when you are creating answer alternatives and feedback.

Access the keyboard

When you are creating a new question, click on the Equation button. The equation keyboard will then pop up. You can click on the buttons to create your equation or use your keyboard to type. 

Functions 

The function of the equation keyboard is to create mathematical equations to use in your digital test.

If you click on one of the symbols and hold it, more options are available.

Insert a custom matrix

The equation editor has a menu which can be opened by right-clicking on the equation field. After right-clicking in the equation field, you have the option to insert a custom matrix and select the number of rows and columns. You can also choose the preferred borders, such as parentheses or brackets. After the matrix is inserted you can add and remove rows and columns by right clicking the matrix.
