If you want to set up the integration for an assignment, you will need an LTI link. This LTI link is generated from Canvas. Linking your assignment will allow your students to open the assignment through your LMS. Once the assignment has finished, you are also able to send the marks from within Ans.
error_outline You cannot set up an LTI coupling after taking the exam. The participants need to log in through the LMS to finalise the coupling. That way, Ans knows which result in Ans belongs to which student in the LMS.
error_outlineThis guide will walk you through setting up an LTI coupling as a course module in Canvas. To do this, make sure the 'Module Menu Modal' placement is selected as one of the available options in the external tool setup. If you want to create the link in a different location, use the placement that matches your intended context.

To create a LTI link for an assignment, follow the steps below.
- Set up the Canvas integration on school level in Ans.
- Sign in to Canvas.
- Click Courses in the menu on the left.
- Click on your course or use the search bar.
- Click on the + sign in the module.
- In the dialog, select External tool from the dropdown menu and select Load in a new tab option at the bottom of the dialog window.

From this page, select the Course you want to create the LTI link for and then select the Assignment.

If you have followed the steps as described above, Canvas will also automatically create an assignment under the Assignments tab.
