Changes to the platform
Re-authentication is now required when signing in via SURFconext or a custom SAML provider after logging out
When a user clicks the “Log out” button in Ans, they must now re-authenticate with the identity provider if they sign in again through SURFconext or a custom SAML provider. This security measure stops users from accessing another account if the identity provider session is still active. This issue could happen on shared computers, where the Ans session has ended, but the identity provider session is still valid.
Bug fixes
-
Fixed issue where the grading scheme status chip for equation was not always correct
Previously, the grading scheme status chip, which indicated the validity of the grading scheme, always required an equation symbol to be present, even for equations that were automatically solved and did not need one. This has now been improved, and the validity of the grading scheme will only depend on the presence of an equation symbol for the appropriate equation types.
-
Fixed an issue where attachments would prohibit the viewing of a result
Previously, attachments set to visible in a written assignment or bubblesheet assignment would cause the review overview and publication to break. This has now been resolved and the attachment no longer prohibits the viewing of the result.
-
Fixed an issue where changing question contributions could cause the points per question export to incorrectly include points for questions that participants did not receive
Previously, when changing the contribution of questions in an assignment that used flow groups, points for questions that the participant did not receive were still included in the points per question export. Now, if a participant did not receive a particular question during the test, the corresponding column in the export will remain empty.
-
Fixed an issue where users without name_id and student number could not login via Single Sign-On
Previously, when students would log in via Single Sign-On without a student number being sent from the provider, an email address would not be enough to find the student. A name_id and/or uid would also need to be provided. Now, just an email address is enough to find the student to be logged in.
