In the previous step you learnt how to create a question bank. In this step you will learn how to add contributors to your question bank. Contributors are able to create exercises and question bank assignments. They can also review exercises and question bank assignments of other contributors of the question bank.
There are two contributor roles:
A publisher has all permissions within a question bank. They can create exercises and question bank assignments, add domains and objectives, add contributors and edit the settings.
An author of a question bank is only able to add exercises, domains and objectives. Authors are not able to add question bank assignments, contributors or change the settings of a question bank.
There are two ways to add contributors to your question bank. If you click group Contributors in the menu at the top, you will see two drop down menus, New contributors and Add contributors.
To add a contributor that is not yet a staff member of your school, click the dropdown menu New contributor and select New author or New publisher. Fill in their name and email and click Create. The user will receive an invite via email. The invited person also becomes a staff member of your school.
To invite users that already have an account with Ans, click the drop down menu Add contributors and select Add authors or Add publishers. By default, the list will open displaying other employees. If you wish to add students (teaching assistants) then click the drop-down menu Employee and select Student. Check the boxes next to the the contributors you want to add and click Add.
