Insights are an easy way to gain insight into the composition and results of an assignment. Insights allow the instructor to see details regarding grades, questions, objectives, and graders if the assignment is graded online. You can also filter insights on groups or classes.
Follow the steps below to see where you can view your Insights.
- Click the domain School name in the menu on the left.
- Click on label_importantCourses in the menu at the top.
- Click on your course or use the search bar.
- Click on your assignment or use the search bar.
- Click analytics Insights in the menu at the top.
This brings you to the Overview, in which you'll find the following:
Characteristics
The characteristics show the number of exercises in your test and the maximum amount of points a student can receive.
Metrics
The metrics show how many participants took part in your test and the pass rate.
The KR20 / alpha show the assignment's reliability. It has value between 0 and 1 and a high value means a high reliability.
Marks
The marks show the minimum, maximum, average and median grade. The chart also shows the students that passed and the students that failed the assignment.

Points
The points show the minimum, maximum, average and median number of points. You can move your cursor over the graph to see the student number and number of points that student received.

Duration in minutes
The duration in minutes shows the minimum, maximum, average and median duration of the test. You can also move your cursor over the graph to see the student number and number of minutes it took that student to complete the test.
error_outline Most data shown in the Insights environment are not reliable for small amounts of data (students). Keep this in mind when making conclusions based on Analytics.
