Analytics are an easy way to gain insight into the composition and results of an assignment. Insights allow the instructor to see details regarding grades, questions, objectives, and graders if the assignment is graded online.
Follow the steps below to see where you can view your Insights.
- Navigate to any course; or use the search bar in the Courses-section.
- Navigate to any assignment; or use the search bar.
- Click Insights in the menu at the top.
This brings you to the Overview, in which you'll find the following:
The characteristics show the number of exercises in your test and the maximum amount of points a student can receive.
The metrics show how many participants took part in your test and the pass rate.
The KR20 / alpha show the assignment's reliability. It has value between 0 and 1 and a high value means a high reliability.
The marks show the minimum, average and maximum grade. The chart also shows the students that passed and the students that failed the assignment.
The points show the minimum, average and maximum number of points. You can move your cursor over the graph to see the student numbers and number of points.
Duration in minutes
The duration in minutes shows the minimum, average and maximum duration of the test. You can also move your cursor over the graph to see the student numbers and number of minutes.
error_outline Most data shown in the Insights environment are not reliable for small amounts of data (students). Keep this in mind when making conclusions based on Analytics.
