Aside from creating a new class, you can also import a class or multiple classes by using a .csv, .xls, .xlsx or an EDEXML file.
To import a class, follow the steps below.
- Click the domainSchool name in the menu on the left.
- Click groupClasses in the menu at the top.
- Click the drop-down button Import and choose your import method:
- Import with file
Click Download template or create a .CSV, .XLS, or .XLSX file that consists of a maximum of 6 columns. The .CSV file should contain at least three columns: a class name, student number and an email. The order of the columns does not matter. - Import with EDEXML
Export a EDEXML file from your schools administration system.
- Import with file
- Click Browse for a file and select the file, or drag and drop the file into the pop-up.
Options for the import of a class
- Overwrite information from existing users
When an account is found by the student number, the name and email of the existing account will be overwritten if this option is enabled. - Send invitations
Students who never signed in to Ans before, will receive an invitation email. With the invitation, students can set a password so they can sign in with their email and password.
