A coding assignment is an assignment where the students have to write code. This can be Matlab or Python code.
Grading criteria can be set by uploading a solution file in Ans. If automatic reviewing is set, the uploaded files from the students will be compared with the given criteria.
The following grading methods can be used:
- Values: you can review the values used in your solution file. These values can be selected when the grading method is set on Values. All the values from the solution-file can be chosen at the variable drop-down menu.
- Syntax: you can review syntax. The grading method has to be set on Syntax. Then you can fill in a syntax.
- Combination of both: if it is desired to use both, a value and a syntax, set the value as dominant. Click Options at the top right and select Dominant. Setting the value as Dominant means that when the value is correct, the syntax will not be reviewed, while there is a great chance that this one is also correct.
At the review page, it is possible to get an insight into the answers given by the students and the criteria they meet.
