While uploading scans from your written assignment or bubble sheet assignment, you may encounter upload errors. In the print Print & scan overview it will indicate which upload errors have occurred. There are four types of upload errors:
- Unrecognised pages
- Missing pages
- Unknown student
- Duplicates
We advise you to check the upload errors in the order mentioned above. If the first upload error is not the problem, then you can move on to the next and so on.
The upload error Unrecognised pages can be solved at the top of the Scan page by clicking on error_outline Solve issues.
The upload errors Missing pages, Unknown students or Duplicates can be solved on the Scan-page by navigating to the assignment that has just been uploaded. Here you will find out what the upload error is by clicking on Missing and/or Solve issues.
When the QR-code at the bottom of a page is not recognised during scanning, the barcode corresponding to the QR-code will need to be added manually. The barcode can be found in the top right corner of the page.
- Click domain School name in the menu on the left.
- Click print Print & Scan in the menu at the top.
- Click error_outline Solve issues at the top right.
- In the Uploader column, you are able to see which scans you uploaded.
- Click Edit in the bar of the page that you uploaded.
- Fill in the barcode which can be found at the top right in the preview of the page. If the page was uploaded upside down, check Rotate image to be able to read the barcode.
- Click Save & Next until all pages are recognised.
If there is an unrecognised page that does not need to be uploaded, for example, an empty extra writing space page, you can choose to delete the page. You can do this by clicking on Delete at the lower right corner of the unrecognised page window.
If you have forgotten to upload a page of your assignment, a missing pages error will be shown. You have the possibility to upload the missing page or to fill the page with an empty page (this applies if the page does not contain any answers from the student).
- Click domain School name in the menu on the left.
- Click print Print & Scan in the menu at the top.
- Navigate to the assignment you recently uploaded the scans of and click X missing. The X stands for the number of pages that are missing.
- The barcode, file name and page are given in the error. This enables you to find the missing page more easily. If you click on Incomplete forms, you are able to see all other pages of the assignment where pages are missing from. This enables you to collect more details, before looking for the assignment that you need to upload again.
- Upload the missing page(s) or click Fill with empty page.
When the student number filled in by the student on the cover page is not recognised, you will need to fill in the number manually.
- Click domain School name in the menu on the left.
- Click print Print & Scan in the menu at the top.
- Navigate to the assignment you recently uploaded the scans of and click Solve issues.
- Fill in the student number and student name or check the Unknown student checkbox. If the student is marked as unknown, they will be assigned the student number 000000.
- Click Save & Next to go to the next issue until all student numbers are recognised.
If the student is known at the university level with a student number and name, the student name will automatically be filled in when you enter the student number. If the student's name is not automatically filled in, you will know that the student's name needs to be filled in at the university level.
When the same form is printed twice, this means the assignments have the same barcodes. In the event that these two assignments with the same barcodes are taken by two different students, a duplicate error will be given. You will need to find the scans that belong together and merge them.
- Click domain School name in the menu on the left.
- Click print Print & Scan in the menu at the top.
- Navigate to the assignment you recently uploaded the scans of and click Solve issues. We advise you to check the following issues with their solutions in the order mentioned below. If the first solution does not solve the issue, then you can move on to the next and so on.

Equal pages filled in by the same student
If both pages are the same because the same page taken by the same student has been uploaded twice, one of the duplicates can be deleted. This can be done by selecting the page that needs to be deleted by using the keyboard_arrow_left-icon and keyboard_arrow_right-icon left and right of the pages and clicking delete at the top right of the pages. You could also select the page(s) you wish to delete and then click on More expand_more and select Delete. This action should be performed for all pages in the window you wish to delete.
-
Unequal pages
If both pages are not equal, check whether the barcodes are correctly recognised. If this is not the case, so, for example, one of the pages is page 4 out of 10 and the other is page 5 out of 10, select the page on which the barcode is incorrect and click Edit. In the next window, the barcode can be changed. After changing and saving the barcode, the page will be shifted to the right location automatically. This could solve the duplicate error right away, but it could be that still more pages are duplicates.
-
Equal pages filled in by different students
If both pages contain the same barcode but the writing in the answer boxes is different, two different students took an assignment with the same barcode. To solve this, select all pages in the window that belong to the same student. This can be done easily by looking at the filenames of the scanned pages by using the keyboard_arrow_left-icon and keyboard_arrow_right-icon left and right of the pages. The filenames have an increasing or decreasing number in them when the pages are scanned in a row (so they were not shuffled). From the filename, it can be found which pages are scanned right after each other. This indicates which pages are of one student, and which of the same. Select all pages that are from one student by checking the checkbox in front of the pages. When the right pages are selected and their checkboxes are checked, click Merge & Next on top of the window to indicate that the pages are belonging to one and the same student. Select the right pages and click Merge & Next until all duplicates are sorted out and merged.
