When uploading scans from your bubblesheet assignment, it could indicate that upload errors have occurred. There are 4 types of upload errors and we advise you to check them in the following order:
- Unrecognised pages
- Missing pages
- Unknown student
- Duplicates
We advise you to check the upload errors in the order mentioned above. If the first upload error is not the problem, then you can move on to the next and so on. Unrecognised pages can be solved at the top of the Scan-page:
Missing pages, unknown students or duplicates can be solved in the bar of the assignment you uploaded:
1. Unrecognised pages
When the QR-code of a page is not recognised, the page code will need to be added manually.
- Click the domain School name in the menu on the left.
- Click print Print & Scan in the menu at the top.
- Click Scan in the switch at the top.
- Click error_outline Solve issues at the top right.
- In the Uploader-column you are able to see which scans you uploaded.
- Click Edit in the bar of a file that you uploaded.
- Click Rotate image if needed and fill in the page code which can be found at the top-right in the preview of the document.
- Click Save & next.
- Doesn't a page need to be uploaded? Then choose Delete.
2. Missing pages
If you have forgotten to upload a page of your assignment, an error will be shown. You have the possibility to upload the missing page or to fill the page with an empty page (this applies if the page does not contain any answers from a student).
- Click the domain School name in the menu on the left.
- Click print Print & Scan in the menu at the top.
- Go to the test you recently uploaded the scans of and click Missing.
- The page code, file name and page are given in the error. This enables you to find the missing page more easily. If you click on Incomplete forms, you are able to see all other pages of the assignment where pages are missing from. This enables you to collect more details, before looking for the assignment that you need to upload again.
- Upload the missing page(s) or click Fill with empty page.
3. Unknown student
When the student number is not recognised, you will need to fill in the number manually.
- Click the domain School name in the menu on the left.
- Click print Print & Scan in the menu at the top.
- Go to the test you recently uploaded the scans of and click error_outline Solve issues.
- Fill in the Student id and Student name or select Unknown student.
- Click Save & Next to go to the next issue.
4. Duplicates
When a form is copied twice and made by two different students, so the pages have the same codes, a duplicate error will be given.
- Click the domain School name in the menu on the left.
- Click Print & Scan in the menu at the top.
- Go to the test you recently uploaded the scans of and click error_outline Solve issues.
- If both pages are the same, one of them can be deleted, this is done by selecting the right page by using the keyboard_arrow_left-icon and keyboard_arrow_right-icon of the pages and clicking delete at the top right of the pages. This should be done for all pages in the window.
- If both pages are not equal, check whether the pages (so the barcodes) are correct. If this is not the case, so, for example, one of the pages is page 4 out of 10 and the other is page 5 out of 10, select the page of which the barcode is incorrect and click Edit. In the next window, the barcode can be changed. After changing the barcode and saving, the page will be shifted to the right location automatically. This could solve the duplicate error right away, but it could be that still more pages are duplicates.
- If both barcodes are equal, but the writing in the answer boxes are different, two different students have made an exam with the same barcode. To solve this, select all pages in the window, the one belonging to the same student. This can be done easily by looking at the filenames of the scanned pages. The filenames have an increasing or decreasing number in them when the pages are scanned in a row (so they were not shuffled). From the filename, it can be found which pages are scanned right after each other. This indicates which pages are of one student, and which of the same. Select for all pages that are of one student, the checkbox in front of the pages. When all the right pages are selected and their checkboxes are checked, click Merge & exit, on top of the window to indicate that the pages are belonging to one and the same student.
