The following question types can be used when constructing a digital test:
- Code editor
In a code editor question, students can write some code. This code can not be run live.
- File upload
A file upload question can be selected to let the student upload a file during the test. You can view the uploaded file during grading or download the file to view on your own computer.
- Fill in the gaps
A fill in the gaps question consists of a phrase, sentence, or paragraph with a blank space where a student provides the missing word or words.
In a hotspot question, the students have to drag and drop the marker in the right position.
- Hotspot match
In a hotspot question, the students have to drag and drop the markers in the right position.
In a match question, the students have to couple the rows to the columns.
- Mathematical equation
This type can be selected to let the student answer with an equation. Furthermore, feedback will be provided if the equation solver is used when a student answers wrong, as seen in the image below. Grading of this question can be done manually or by using the equation solver.
- Multiple choice
With a multiple-choice question, you can offer the student multiple possible answers. Multiple-choice questions can either allow one good answer or multiple good answers.
- Numerical question
A numerical question can be selected to let the student answer with a number. This answer will automatically be reviewed if the answer is set. There are two options for a numerical question: a question with a value or a question consisting of variables.
- Open question
In an open question, students can write some text, upload an image, or take a photo with their webcam.
In an order question, the students have to drag and drop the choices into the right order.
