17th of August 2025 - Replace reCAPTCHA with Turnstile

Due to rising costs associated with Google reCAPTCHA and the improved user experience of Cloudflare Turnstile, we are switching to Turnstile as our sole verification system.

Starting August 17, 2025, Turnstile will fully replace reCAPTCHA on the sign-in and forgot-password pages. These systems confirm that account access attempts are made by humans, not automated scripts. Turnstile operates invisibly, avoiding user prompts while maintaining security.

If you have whitelisted reCAPTCHA URLs, make sure to update your settings to include the following Turnstile domain: "https://challenges.cloudflare.com.

Please apply these changes before August 17, 2025, to prevent access issues. Even if your school uses Single Sign-On (SSO) to sign into Ans, we still recommend to whitelist 'Turnstile' in the case that a student needs to log into Ans using the one-time password option. 

This change will also be applied to the staging environment and can be tested there during the pre-release.
